Who Designed this Website?

This site was designed by Chris Warfield, M.Div., a recent graduate of the Chicago Theological Seminary. Chris's expertise is in theology and culture, but he also dabbles in web design.

How was this Website Designed?

This site is based on the idea that, on the web, content is king. Hence, the purpose of this site is to provide you, the user, with all the information you need about Wild Grace. We hope that the page is we organized and easy to read, and that you have the best possible web experience while you visit this site.

Part of keeping content in its proper place is making sure that the site can easily be accessed and maintained. In order to make maintentance and updating as smooth as possible, we've stuck with a combination of HTML (the content portion of web design), CSS (the layout portion of web design), and JavaScript (for interactivity). The use of CSS, rather than HMTL tables, for layout means that if a change needs to be made - say, to the Wild Grace logo - throughout the site, we only need to change it in one place, our stylesheet, rather than on every page. It also means that we can more easily make adjustments to layout for different browsers and operating systems.

The JavaScript portion of this site affects only the menu bar that you see below the logo on each page. since some people do not keep JavaScript enabled, we also sought to make sure that the page would be accessible even if JavaScript were disabled. Likewise, throughout this site, we've sought to make certain that every page is easily accessible and easy to use.
